The department of the army announces its participation in the government employee’s insurance company (GEICO) military service awards program for 2007. This program recognizes one enlisted member from each of the military services and one member from the guard/reserve components for their special contributions to military and/or civilian communities in any one of the following three areas: drug and alcohol abuse prevention; fire safety and fire prevention; and traffic safety and accident prevention.
