Can a soldier recieve a negative counseling statement from a squadleader who has failed to conduct the soldiers intial counseling?

no becose the squad leader dint gave the soldier his gidens there for he cant make the soldier accontable for his mistake

it depends on what the counseling was for, if the soldier was given a negative counseling for something that they knew was wrong then it doesn't matter if the have recieved an initial counseling or not. Also plt sgts will also verbally tell you when first getting to a unit what is expected of you. Then there is also the 1sg welcome brief and then the CO's welcome brief. And if you have been in the military longer then a day you know what is expected anyway. Not having an initial counseling is just a bogus excuse to try and get out of trouble.
